I'm really sad, but also really excited at the same time. I wanted to thank everyone who wished me off super duper well this past week. (Also, my birthday was last week, and to all those who are reading this who forgot: I kinda forgive you.) Everything was amazing.
Jerry, Michelle, Fitz, Fernando, Joni, Ace, Rachel, James, Pam, BJ, Dave, Darryl, Courtney, Enio, Tiffany, Arnold, Ariel.... thank you VERY much for coming to dinner. You guys were a part of one of the most amazing feasts of my life. Ed, I know you wanted to be there, too, but it's all good. I know you would have if you could.
So I'm off to New York. I won't be able to blog as much as I have been doing the past year, but I'll try to keep it up. I'm very happy that this blog was a bigger success than I originally thought it'd be. It was meant to be a medium for me to share cool shit I find online instead of e-mailing you guys 5 times a day with links. I go to the most randomest places to hear how much people enjoy this blog- which is making it quite obligatory for me to at least continue it a bit (WHICH I WILL!).
I tried to keep this blog as much as a "reporter" as I could and not involving myself in it. It was a news article (mostly copied and pasted), and for what it's worth, not a column. But if you're into that shit, I invited you to visit mynewyorktimes.blogspot.com once in a while. There's nothing there, yet. And it may not be your cup of tea if you're used to this blog.
mynewyorktimes.blogspot.com is really just or me. I've never done anything like this before in my life (moving to another city by myself for no other reason but to have fun) so it's a tool for me to chronicle my adventures. It'll also force me to think back at the stuff I've done at the end of the day/week. Also, my mom wanted to keep tabs on me.
Aleza, Eric, Mom and Dad: you will be with me every single step of the way. Thanks for letting me do this. And thanks for being so excited for my move!
