This is probably the best use of the internet in the history of the internet.
White House photographer (umm, best job, ever?) Pete Souza uploaded several hundred photos of President Obama's first hundred days in office. Most of these pictures are candid- and for once, I feel like my tax dollars are at work- that all our tax dollars are at work. No way to tell whether it's put to successful work, but it's visual proof that something is being done. Which is weird. This visual has hit me way harder than seeing potholes near my house being patched up.
Not only are the pictures candid, it's extremely intimate. You see him happy, tired, stressed, then happy again. What I find to be really enlightening is the looks on people's faces as they're about to greet him. Those can't be faked. Best of all, there's a comment section (unlike the YouTube speeches and the White House website) where people can discuss their thoughts, though I'm sure they're heavily monitored.
Go through a few pictures. You owe it to yourself to click it. Heidi and Spencer will wait. We're all witnessing history here and it's an extremely special time.
