Facebook Connect is gonna be YUGE

At first glance, Facebook Connect may seem confusing. To a non-media enthusiast end-user, Connect simplifies your life by allowing you to log into participating websites with your Facebook log-in. And all the activity you engage in on that site will be fed into your Facebook profile. That's it! Digg, Hulu, Discovery.com, SF Chronicle- the list will be sure to grow.

As Jules Winnfield would demand: example. Well, let's say ESPN.com is a participating site. You have to be an ESPN member to read certain "full" articles and leave comments (you also have to pay for an ESPN membership). Now, with Facebook Connect, you simply log into ESPN.com with your Facebook ID. You have full access to the site as if you were an ESPN member. You read an article, you Digg it, and you leave a comment. Now, your friends will see what you've done! It's a bit like Friend Feed, but hey, who doesn't have Facebook, right?

To a media enthusiast, this means the world. I'll open that bag some other time.
