I've shed tears over two movies in my life: My Girl in '91, and Changeling in '08. If Jolie (who I hated about 4 hours ago) doesn't get a nomination, if Jeffrey Donovan (Guy Pierce '08 edition) doesn't get a nomination, if Eastwood and Changeling doesn't get a nomination- it'll be a travesty.
This movie started off slow, so be patient. Since it doesn't get widely released until next week, I'm not going to talk much about it... but please, watch it. Jolie was brilliant- the Girl, Interrupted Oscar should be scratched and changed for this. Watch for a hilarious, yet subtle Oscar reference toward the end of the movie. Also, watch out for Jason Butler Harner. He plays the Kevin Spacey from Se7en. Small roll, big creepy. I will forever watch any movie now that casts Jason Butler Harner.
Also, in case you were wondering, "changeling" is defined as: an ugly or odd creature left by fairies in place of a child.
