The real Love Lockdown, what an 808 really is

So all the copies of Love Lockdown you've heard has been crappy. It's either an MP3 recording off his live performances or a rough studio mix.

Here's the final version. I used to hate this song. Now I kinda like it. He's really got to drop the auto-tune, though.

Enjoy, people. Download HERE.

Update: Jeff Tanhueco just broke it down, and he broke it down hard.

"An old school beat machine. Roland TR-808. Hella hip hop heads use it cuz it has clean and hard drum and bass. Like in Kelis’ 'Bossy' she says 'I’m back with an 808 cuz I’m bossy.' And Blaque’s 'Boom Like an 808.'

I guess Kanye is using an 808 for his new album so I imagine it’ll thump pretty hard. It sounds like he’s using it too on Swagga Like Us. And he uses an 808 in Weezy’s Let the Beat Build. Hella producers use it."

I always thought Blaque did "Boom Like an 808" because they really liked Hawaii, and they boomed there, and at the time, it was hot to give a shot out to area codes.
