Andre Benjamin is coming out with a new solo album sometime by the end of this year or early 2009. Also, he has his own clothing line. It's OK cool, but totally not suitable for the mean streets of the U.S. Only appropriate for the virtual world we call The Sartorialist.

Influence was drawn from very early sportswear- looks very pre-1950s American football. It takes a different state of mind to conceive and wear something like this. I think this level that Andre is on- that's where the genius of his music comes from. I'm excited to see the rest of the line (to debut at Herrods in London) because I think it's a visual element to music.

“If you’re tough, and you don’t give a shit, the seventies were so cool,” he says. “If you look at old football pictures, the jerseys were hanging, the sleeves were dangling, but now everything is tucked and tailored."
