Funny People, Judd Apatow's upcoming movie with Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen, is about stand-up comedians. In it, he uses old footage of Adam Sandler when he was still trying to make it big in the L.A. club scene as well as audition tapes from his wife and co-star Leslie Mann. (Another fun fact: Apatow and Sandler were buddies and roommates in L.A. while they were both struggling comedians and writers)
While shooting Funny People, Apatow organized a night of stand-up featuring the likes of Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman and Aziz. Perhaps as footage in the movie? I don't know. Now, I've always disliked Aziz and I think I always will, but I have to share this clip of him playing a fictitious character, Randy.
It's just dead hilarious.
