Kate Winslet in Harper's Bazaar
For the August issue of Harper's Bazaar, Kate Winslet is shot by the god of all fashion photographer gods, Peter Lindbergh. The cool temperature of the shots is particularly noticeable. Little weird being that most of Lindbergh's masterpieces are all shot in B/W. But if his goal was to make Kate Winslet look gorgeous, then mission accomplished.
The whole article is a somewhat interesting read. It focuses a lot on how much Kate is a role model for women and can get a bit brown-nosey at times. They spend a lot of time on how she's showing a lot of skin lately (see: The Reader. No, seriously, see The Reader. By far the best movie I've seen this year.)
When asked why she's beeing showing a lot of leg lately, she replied, "I danced a lot when I was younger, and I've always had decent, shapely legs and thought it's now or never. I mean, when you're pushing 40, are you really going to wander around in a dress that's mid-thigh length? So I thought, Oh, fuck it, I'm just going to do it."
That's such a Rose Dawson thing to say! You know, Jack saved her in every way a woman can be saved.
UPDATE: The merit of my above words has been compromised a bit after I saw this picture. She has man-feet. All women are beautiful and they are all God's children, too, but I just don't dig a man's foot on a woman, that's all.
