The Invention of Lying
Can a movie's lineup be enough to get people in the theaters? Sure. But it doesn't make it a good movie. An all-star cast can translate into a good time only if it's written properly and wrangled by someone who knows what they're doing (see: Ocean's 11, 12 and 13) .
The Invention of Lying is such a movie. Instead of having nearly 11-13 A-listers, The Invention of Lying has one or two A-listers and mostly genius B-listers. Co-written and co-directed by Ricky Gervais, it also stars the likes of Christopher Guest (God help you if you don't know him), Jonah Hill, Jason Bateman, Rob Lowe, and GENIUSES Mrs. Tina Fey and a Mr. John Hodgman.
Oh, and Louis C.K. is in it. If you don't know him, you seriously better ask somebody (or see HERE). The only thing missing who'd be the perfect icing to this cake would be someone in the likes of Luis Guzman. Oh, God. Did I really write a sentence like that?
UPDATE: crap, the other trailer was taken off Youtube so you're stuck with this one for now. The other trailer was more promising. This one kinda sucks.
