Better late than never part 1: PODCASTS! (AKA cliff notes to interesting shit in life)
OK, so I've been getting super into podcasts lately. And they're FUCKING AWESOME!!! More specifically, I've been getting into the podcasts that are produced by HOW STUFF WORKS. Have you ever got caught up in a really interesting subject on talk radio and just couldn't stop listening? This is pretty much a collection of those. I call them cliff notes to interesting shit in life.
Each one ranges from 15-20 minutes (which are perfect lengths for commutes- isn't it weird how no matter where you are in the world and no matter what means you travel, commutes are usually in 20 minute blocks? It always takes you 20, 40, or 60 minutes to get to work- weird, huh?).
Think of it as a collection of all those addicting talk radio segments- except you get to choose when and where to listen to any specific subject. Technology: amazing. And most of all, it's free. How many times do you read the news or are in a discussion with friends over dinner and talk about current events you have no idea what it's about? Ponzi schemes and Bernie Madoff, how a recession happens, truth about 2012 (those Mayans were the truth), how to survive a plane crash- sound smarter on your next date and have something to talk about. Totally cool shit.
Look, I understand almost none of you will even check this out, but if at least just one of you do and find it rewarding, this blog has done its job.
