Best $12 I spent: thank you, Kevin

The best thing about the internet is the ability to share recommendations on cool ass shit. Cool shit spreads like wildfire on this world wide web of ours.

Recently, Kevin Estrada (starting drummer for Phil and the Osophers) shared something on Google Reader (if you're not on that shit, why not yet?!) about some chick named Jenny Owen Youngs. It was just a link to her RCRD LBL page with a download for her new single, Led to Sea (warning, SUPER catchy hook). One thing led to another and, well... you'll see.

Jukebox came up for a collabo. They were super cool.

Aleza made sure everyone noticed the feather.

Keep an eye on two things: 1- the chick to Jenny's left and the dude in the white shirt in the background (he's her drummer) who's mugging me the entire time.

Photobucket
I'm never going to tell you what we talked about, but whenever I meet A-list celebrities, I talk about something super interesting so I get their attention and find me fascinating. But this time, it seems to be having an effect on that eavesdropping-ass chick to her left. And the one on my right has GOT to lay off, seriously. She gotta get her own material.

Photobucket
Yup, the one on the left is in love with me. Cupid (what I call my secret celebrity story) shot the wrong person. And if that dude does not stop looking at me, I'm about to serve him a fist sandwich.

Photobucket
But Jenny wouldn't have that because we're Superfriends. The lady to my right is stretching in defeat.

As a gift to celebrate her newfound friend, Jenny gave me an advanced copy of her upcoming album in exchange for $10 USD.
