In light of the successful Air Yeezys that were released this Saturday, Kanye West has urged the higher-ups of Nike to allow him to design his own wing of sportswear for Nike.

His shoes only sold out because they had the "limited" title. Only people who got it were serious collectors and high school kids who bought it to resell to those collectors for a profit. Like John Connor at the ATM: "easy money". You can sell out of dog shit as long as Nike put a "limited" label on it.
“If Nike gave me the opportunity to be in there creating - not that they don’t already have genius designers like Hiroshi (Fujiwara) - I’m not saying that I think I’m the best designer in the world, but what I’m saying is that I think I can become that. I want to be able to be mentioned in the same breath as the greats. I just want to be competitive. Doing a licensing deal or something like that, that’s not real. What if Nike would’ve really given me a deal and allowed me to do (a) lifestyle (clothing range)?”
