Shit like this is why I started this blog.
Yuri Gagarin (also known as Hero of the Soviet Union) is the first man in space, ever. He's basically the first dude to go into space.
Anyway, the world celebrates this by throwing something called Yuri's Night: The World Party for Space. Basically, all around the world, parties (and I'm talking about drunk, waking up on Interstate 5 in someone else's trousers kind of party) are held to celebrate this guy.
