Tell everybody, everybody, that you know

Kanye West on VH1's Storytellers this weekend was the best live set I've seen from Kanye. Period and ever. And that's coming from a diehard fan who has seen a lot of his live performances. It rivals his Dear Mama/Stronger performance last year at the Grammy's.

Dickhead, cocky- yeah, he is. He major is. But no one has ever said he can't back it up. Which is why that bugs me. I want him to fail for real, just once.... but so far his failure is just his lack of modesty.

Anyway, check out the video above of See You In My Nightmares (sans Weezy), my favorite and darkest song off 808s. The entire performance was surreal. Beautiful set, mad drums, and an infallable army of live instruments.

But the biggest thing: just the right pinch of autotune. I think Kanye finally mastered his autotune here (waaaaay to much in the album). Here, it's just a subtle amount: good enough to accomplish what he wanted and hide his subpar singing voice.
