Even in the streetwear game, Americans fall super short of everyone else. It's no wonder American designers (other than Marc J, right, Aleza?) are always clowned on. I mean, how many times can you reinvent a polo shirt and a navy blazer?
Meanwhile, in Japan, streetwear is always experimented on and taken to another level while we spend 2x more than then on it 3 seasons later.
I mean, look at this bullshit that BBC is coming up with now. A beanie that looks like it was purchased on Bleeker St. for $5? Find it at your local Barney's for $85. Yeah, $85.
