Is Novato coming up?

I used to hang out in Novato a lot as a kid. One of my grade-school best friends lived there. It was all white and you were either rich as a bitch or trailer trash. True story: I sat at the bus stop next to a boy and a girl, no older than 13, making out. I tried to look away, but he looked back at me and said, "You got a problem with my cousin?" I looked around for hidden cameras because I thought I was on a hidden camera show.

Now, Toast is opening.

From SF Eatery:

Toast, the second restaurant designed by renowned architect Stanley Saitowitz—the Mission's Conduit being the first—is ready to roll out in the Hamilton Marketplace next Friday, March 5th. We've followed the progress of the flashier Novato offshoot of the Mill Valley original. As stated earlier, it's the project from owner Shahram Bijan (also of Union Square's First Crush), with executive chef Michael Garcia running both Marin kitchens. But we have a feeling that the main talking point, at least at first, will be the literal Saitowitz design. Expect a super special Marin edition of Eater Inside in the near future, as we see how closely Toast resembles the above renderings.
