It's Halloween, and we all should be happy

A lot of bad work-related stuff happened yesterday. I went home, tired, and planning on cooking something nice, do some internet reading, then go to Soulwax.

Everything went according to plan. Dinner came out of the oven, I sat down with my laptop, and right when I was cutting into it, my doorbell rang.

Two SFPD detectives showed up and asked to come in. So about two weeks ago, I bought a Macbook Pro off Craigslist for $1,200. Turns out it was stolen. From a disgruntled janitor at a law firm downtown. Those were the words of the detective. Apparently, this guy hated his job, stole about 15 Macbook Pros, and sold it on Craigslist.

So they confiscated the computer. I’m computer-less. Gone is also the ~$500 I spent honestly buying music from iTunes because A- they couldn’t wait 2 hrs for me to back it up and B- my dumb ass never saved it on another hard drive. I’m a “loser”.

So, I’m out $1,200. I got my car hit last week where the dude doesn’t call back- it’s now considered a hit and run, and my deductible is $500. Pimpin is never easy. But tonight is Halloween, and it’s a Friday, so shame on you if you’re reading this and it’s past 6PM on Oct. 31st.
