Girl Talk- Oct. 28 @ The Fillmore

Top 10 things about this gig:

10- Right when Girl Talk came out, he invited EVERYONE on stage. Of course, people rushed. I was Mr. Pinball. I don't know why, but it was really fun to push and be pushed without reserving the right to be mad.

9- This was as close to a rock concert I have ever been to. Crowd surfing, getting kicked in my right temple (by no other than Girl Talk himself!), mosh pits. The only reason why I can't call it a real rock concert was because the following played very loudly: Madonna, Missy Elliot, Christina Aguilera, and Pink.

8- I made a new friend. I don't know his name, but let's call him Phil because he looked like a Phil. His resemblence to Ryan Dunn is uncanny. He introduced himself my tapping my shoulder and saying, "Watch this!" He then went on the push every single person around him to the ground. I'm talking back on the ground. Then he looked me in the eye with a wide smile and asked, "Cool huh?" He was surrounded by about 5 people who were dazed and confused, ass on the ground. He made me nervous.

7- Girl Talk jumped RIGHT on me to crowd surf.

6- Girl Talk played A Milli to the Say It Ain't So instrumental. All the lights turned off. Then confetti fell. I achieved that "live music nirvana".

5- I wore my Atlanta Braves hat. I have never gone to a shitty gig with that hat on. I elbowed, in the dome, another gentleman wearing an Orioles hat. I called him Oriole and he called me Brave. I told him about this blog. So if you're reading, Oriole, I know you kicked me in the back in retaliation, and it's cool.

4- I was in the front row, dead center, in front of Girl Talk. He thought there was a curtain on the DJ table and took off his pants because it was that hot in there. He didn't think any one noticed, but many people did.

3- I got 2 days worth of cardio in. No joke, I was drenched, and it was cool.

2- I've always been in the back when it comes to The Fillmore. Not fun there. I'm 18 any more, but I'm not 35. From now on, at least halfway in, or bust. Look at the mofo'ing picture above, taken---- with a Blackberry!

1- The highlight of the entire night had to be when "Since You've Been Gone" played. Why? Well, the lyrics played, then he put the beat to "Project Bitch" (he loves the Cash Moneys)... and EVERY GUY in the venue sang with Ms. Independent herself. It was hilarious. You heard male vocals singing in unison. It... was.... HILARIOUS.
