New York, I Love You

You may have seen/heard about this movie already, but the trailer was released recently and it looks 100% promising. In my ADD world, I've recently found that short stories are a lot easier to read than full novels. I've been killin' short stories like it ain't no thang, and to see it translated onto the big screen might be a good idea.

New York, I Love You will be a collection of 12 5-minute shorts about different love stories that occurs simultaneously in the 5 boroughs of New York City. That may have sounded cheesy, yes, but there's two kinds of cheesy: UGGs and Cheeto Puffs. One is bad, one is good. Out February 9, 2009. What a coincidence.

More importantly, it will showcase the first screenplay written and directed by Ms.
Natalie Portman, who is half woman, half amazing.

Headliners: Shia LaBeouf,
Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Christina Ricci, Orlando Bloom, Rachel Bilson, Kevin Bacon, Maggie Q, John Hurt, Robin Wright Penn, Ethan Hawke, James Caan, Chris Cooper, and Julie Christie.

Directors include: Yvan Attal, Allen Hughes, Shunji Iwai, Wen Jiang, Scarlett Johansson, Joshua Marston, Natalie Portman, Brett Ratner, Andrei Zvyagintsev, Fatih Akin, Randall Balsmeyer, Shekhar Kapur, and Mira Nair.
