I found out about this a while ago, and got majorly excited to blog about it. Then I got pretty upset when I discovered it's at the Gallery 1988 in L.A. Not S.F.
Gallery 1988 will have an exhibit with 100 artists and their interpretation on classic cult films. It'll be a blast. The opening will have Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier in attendance. Kevin Smith gave a funny ass speech the last time he was there.
The theme poster of interest is by Andrew Wilson (his first time, I think, doing the Crazy 4 Cult series). Notice anything familiar about his artwork? Give up? He's an artist for Rockstar Games- so don't be surprised if you thought those characters looked like people from GTA or Bully.
The gallery is also having a competition where the winner, who can name every single character in the poster, will get a bunch of signed and limited stuff. I highly doubt any of the imbeciles I know can do it. Because I cannot.
